CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE. Jordan is officially in purgatory as she sits on the cut line waiting for all of the players to finish to see if she continues on to match play tomorrow. (Click for details and pics).

Waiting sucks. After two very solid rounds B now has to wait for the rest of the field to finish after a multi hour storm delay to learn her fate. To dumb it down, she needs three of the remaining 9 players above her to lose even a single stroke to get her into a playoff to earn a spot in the round of 64 tomorrow. How did she get here? Let us bring you up to date….

Today’s round started off very well with a 🐥 on 1, barely missed a second on 2 (par), a 🐥 on three, a just miss again on 4(par) and another par of 5 bring her to -2 through 5 and solidly in 52nd place, two strokes to the good of the cut line. On 6, she decided to play with fire up the left side which is all water and went swimming forcing her to drop a ball and finishing with a solid bogey to go to -1. As she seems to always enjoy doing things in 3’s, she followed that up with another two bogeys on 7&8 to put her at +1 on the day, and back on to the wrong side of the cut. Stella got her groove back on 9 with a par, and another par on 10. She continued to improve with a beautiful birdie on 11, pars on 12 & 13, and another 🐥 on 14 followed by a par on 15. She was now again, 2 strokes on the good of the cut line with only 3 holes to play. Then came 16 with it’s 147 yards to carry over water to the island green with the flag to the back and 40 feet to land her ball. She miss hit it, and it went into the drink 20 feet before “feet dry”. She dropped from the drop zone and carded a double bogey putting her back exactly on the cut line once again. She parred 17, and then got another bogey on 18 to finish at +2 on the day, +6 for the tournament so far, and a projected cut line of +4 but with 80 players still to finish. The day got hotter and the thunderstorms began at around 4:30 halting play until 6:45. Play for the day ended at 8:43 when the sun went down with 31 players still to complete their second round. 9 of those players are ahead of her. If 3 of them drop even a single stroke Jordan will be in a playoff for at least a single spot, possibly more then 1. Play will resume in the morning at 7:15 and B’s tournament life will depend on how those 9 players complete their round.

Plan is to leave for the course at 7:45 and warm up but at this point she does not know if it will be for nothing or she will have the opportunity to continue.

Thats all for now. Thank you once again for following. Should she make it to a playoff, and furthermore win the playoff thereby making it to the round of 64, coverage will be on the Golf Channel tomorrow from 11:30-2:30 EST.

1st T this morning.
