This one is going to take some time so let’s get started. Jordan shot 31/40 today…yeah, not a type O. Lets walk through it hole by hole…..
One was a bit shaky as she got her legs under her. She bogeyed it to start at +1 through one. Then, she went 🐥,🐥,🐥 back to back to back on 2,3,4 to get to -2. 5 had the makings of a disaster. It was a par 3 and she hit it solidly into a bunker plugging it on the face with an overhanging lip. Only a sliver of ball was still showing. She hit the “Best sand shot of my life Dad” and the ball rolled to 4 feet from the cup which she then sunk for a “sandyPar save.” 6 was a par. 7, a par 3 she hit to 3 feet and sunk her 4th 🐥 taking her to -3 and put her in a tie for the lead. 8 was and ACE, her first one in tournament play.
Coach posted the above on instagram and we stole it. The ace pic dad copied to his photo album at 11:59 today and she hit the hole-in-one at 1:22. You can’t make this stuff up. Something just made him copy it.
At this point B was -5 through 8. Nine was a par. She finished the front at a personal best of 31 with just 12 putts. 10 was a par, 11 her 5th 🐥
After 11, she was -6 with an ACE, and 5🐥’s in solo first place two strokes ahead of the next player in this extremely competitive 90 player field. THEN GOLF HAPPENED….
12 was a par 3 that she hit into the left green side sand box. She got out and it rolled 12 feet past the hole. She two putted for bogey brining her back to -5. Thirteen was a four putt shit show for double bogey, back to -3. On 14 she drove the ball directly behind a tree and had to punch out sideways actually losing yardage leaving herself 235 yards to the green. She took a mighty 3 wood shot that actually went the distance but was 5 feet right and ended in the sandbox. She had a good out, then two putted for back to back double bogeys. She lost 5 strokes in just three holes. She managed to keep it together and par the last 5 holes missing two almost birdie putts.

The course gave her the flag from 8 and dad had to buy drinks for all of the other partners at the team dinner tonight. Jordan is planning to buy Starbucks for the entire team on Wednesday when they are back in South Bend.

The weather her is turning to shit over the next few days and they are preparing for it by playing 27 holes tomorrow so they only have to try to get 9 in on Tuesday. This was a very hard course to walk for the players pushing their carts today (and their parents) with the round taking 5 hours and 25 minutes. Can you imagine the misery of tying to play 27 holes in the rain tomorrow with temps in the high 40’s in the early morning? T off for the B is 9:06, wish dad luck.
