LAWRENCE, KANSAS- Move over Dorothy, THE IRISH ARE COMING. (Click for details and lots of pics).

At the South Bend Airport yesterday morning.

Last week in South Bend Jordan was the runner up in the Fighting Irish Classic just two strokes behind her teammate the winner, Junior Alex Lapple who had her very first college victory. Jordan gave her a run for her money actually taking the lead with three holes to play when Alex birdied two of her last three holes. Jordan was the only other player in the tournament to have a score under par. She went +1 on the front and -2 on the back for a tournament total of -1. It was a great result for Jordan and her Papa Selwyn was there to watch walking the 23,000 steps over 36 holes and almost 10 hours.

All right, that does it for last week in South Bend, now to Kansas with Dorothy, Toto, the lion, the tin man, the scarecrow, B, SuperMom and 14 Division 1 ACC teams from as far east as Delaware and as far west as California….

SuperMom arrived yesterday afternoon and brought in steaks for her and Jordan from the ChopHouse for dinner at the team hotel where she is staying. Today was the practice round where they are still playing as of the writing of this blog. Tomorrow’s T time is 10:30 am Central time, 11:30 east coast time where B will T off of 1. There will be 36 holes tomorrow with the second round scheduled to begin off of 10 for B at 3:30. As the sun sets at 7:30 it is unlikely that tomorrow’s scheduled play will actually end tomorrow but that will be what it will be. Best guess is that they are forced to finish on Tuesday morning early before the start of the final round.
