STEVENS POINT, WI. Jordan is just five strokes off the lead at the ROLEX after round one. (Click for more).

This course is really really hard. As a matter of fact today it was rated a 79. This means that Jordan’s par round today is actually a -7. This field is really really good. By far, the very best she has ever faced. Jordan shot par today and is in an 8 way tie for 25th place. One stroke better, she would be in 15th. Three strokes better she is in the top ten. It is crazy how close this field is. 7 over, basically the equivalent of par put you in a tie for 66th place out of the 72 contenders. Did we say this field is talented?

B’s putting today was her golden ticket. She had 5 putts from 25 plus feet, one almost 80 feet and never more than a 2 putt. She had to go up and down a number of times. With all of that, B had 1 bogey (on 17 where she drove to behind a tree and had to punch out) 16 pars, and 1 🐥. She made 15 fairways. There were 4 putts that were on the lip. Truly a spectacular round for the B. Two more days to play.

Today’s scorecard.

Hole number 16. 30,000 flowers at an annual cost of $250,000

B’s spot on the driving range

The craziness of the practice area with the hovering parents

more of the practice area

The platter that everyone is playing for.

This was a really important day for Jordan. She proved to herself that she belongs here with the “Big Dogs” and is looking forward to getting back to it tomorrow. He T time is 9am central, 10am eastern off of hole number one. She is not just here to play, she is here to win. 36 holes to go.

That’s all for now. Thank you for all of the amazing texts, emails, and calls of support for Jordan. We will be back tomorrow to update you.
