PALO ALTO, CA. Jordan finishes day two in a four way tie for 16th place after shooting +2 in a very difficult round. (Click for details and pics).

B’s putter which had been her magic wand just 24 hours earlier hurt her today as she carded three 3 putts to shoot 73 on day two of the AJGA Fortinet Invitational at Stanford. The competition here is brutal and this one small chink in her armor today was exploited by this talented field. Jordan’s score card in the front and the back were identical; 3 bogeys and 2 🐥’s per side. That’s it….6 bogeys, 8 pars, and 4🐥’s. The 3 putts were the difference between 16th place where she currently sits and 4th place where she could be without them.

Today’s pin placements were the work of a sadist. To quote David when he was explaining one particularly diabolical hole to Coach Carl and SuperMom, “Another Pin up front and tucked behind a bunker. Greens Keeper had a bad night and is taking it out on the field.” At Rockrimmon they have one particularly tournament each year around Thanksgiving where they make pin placements impossible as a trick to the members who get hammered and try to play what is an impossible golf course. This was like that today and higher scores from the entire field proved it.

Jordan will go into tomorrow just two strokes out of a top ten finish and is hellbent on achieving what would be an unthinkable accomplishment for her first AJGA invitational. T time is at 9:30 off of hole number one and she will be playing with two top players who she is currently tied with. One of whom is currently ranked 16 in the World on the Rolex.

After the round today Jordan putted for a bit to work through what was plaguing her, then came home, had a shower, then did a science project for school. At 6 she went to a Greek Restaurant called Mykonos for dinner with dad and David, then came home and went to sleep.

That’s all for now. Thank you for all of the kind words through emails, texts, blog comments and phone calls. Exciting 3rd round awaits B tomorrow. However it ends, this has been an incredible privilege for her to play.
