HOWEY IN THE HILLS, FL. Tomorrow is day one of the Women’s Orlando International Amateur and Jordan T’s off at 9:18.

This tournament is huge. 182 players will begin tomorrow at Mission Resort from both courses, from hole one and hole 10. The players are all shapes and sizes from the top juniors to the top division one players including 5 (Maleline Bante, Anna Heck, Maya Hunter, and Bridget Wilkie) who are currently on Notre Dame and will be Jordan’s team mates next fall. In addition there are a number of woman who are trying to earn their Q cards to go pro and join the LPGA.

After the first two rounds when all will have played both courses, the field will be cut in half for the final round. The two courses here are very different. Las Colinas is a resort style course. El Campeon is a serious tournament level course where many professional tour events have taken place. It has earned the moniker “Mission Impossible” and there is a hole called Devils Delight. As half will be playing Las Colinas on day one and half El Campeon, the leaderboard will be very complicated to understand until all have played both.

Jordan is playing El Campeon first, teeing off of hole number 1 at 9:18 and her draw included Bridget Wilkie on of her future team mates from Notre Dame.
