Coral Springs, FL. Tomorrow is the first round of the 2024 Woman’s Dixie Amateur Invitational and Jordan T’s it up at 8:06am. (Click for more).

Just 3 days ago Jordan won the HJGT Tournament of Champions considered one of the “Majors” of the Junior golf world with a stunning two stroke victory over her closest opponent besting 85 other Juniors for the title “Champion of Champions” of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour.

Tomorrow B will begin a grueling 72 hole tournament to be contested over four days at Eagle Trace Golf Club in Coral Springs FL. This tournament is NO junior event but rather considered one of the “Majors” of Amateur Golf. These are not 18 and unders but rather world ranked Amateur players who hope to make it to the LPGA. They have come from all over the country and all over the world from Division One College Campuses and from Q school 108 of the best amateurs on the planet. This is the last major event before Augusta where every one of these players would like to have their name added to that roster.

After 54 holes, the field will be cut from 108 to 66 for the final day of play and making that cut would certainly be an accomplishment with the strength of this field. This tournament is oversubscribed forcing a waiting list. There are players at Coral Springs from Italy, Mexico, Czech Republic, Canada, Turkey, Spain, & France. From the US, they came from Florida Georgia, Missouri, Indiana, Texas, Maryland, Illinois, Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia, Ohio, South Carolina, Massachusetts, Arkansas, New Jersey, Connecticut, Louisiana, Delaware, Pennsylvania, California, North Carolina, and one small dinosaur from Bedford NY. That is 22 states for those who are counting. This is a BIG event.

SuperMom packed Jordan up on Monday night and made the three and a half hour drive down to Coral Springs where she unpacked her and organized the rental house where she will live for the week. Yesterday and today SuperMom walked the practice rounds with Jordan who commented that “The track is long.” Some holes will take all she has to get on the green in regulation but now that she has seen it twice she is confident in her ability to play it.

The schedule is very tough as she had classes this morning then SuperMom raced her to the club to make her 11:20 T time which she made by the skin of her teeth without even a singe practice swing. After the round it was back to the house for a few hours of homework before going out for a quick dinner then returning to get to bed early as they will leave the house close to 6am so that she can warm up to T off at 8:06.
