RIO PINAR GOLF CLUB, Orlando FL. After a bit of trouble on the front 9 Jordan ends day one in 7th place at The PrimeTime shooting +5.

Trees and Water were the enemy yesterday and Jordan found lots of both during her opening round of play at The PrimeTime Junior Invitational. Hole 1 lipped out what should have been a birdie. Hole 2’s drive ended up behind a tree, but B managed some magic including a one putt for 🐥. Hole 3 she drove into the water in front of the green into a 20 MPH wind carding a double bogey. Hole 4 was another bogey. Hole 5, a par. On hole 6, a par 5, she had it all…drive hit a tree, third shot went in the water but miraculously she got away with just a bogey. Hole 7, another bogey. By this point, just the first 7 holes, B was +4. The good news is after that she and her bagman, Coach Carl got back on track and 8-17 were all pars. Hole 18 was played in the dark and was a bogey including hitting yet another tree. All told B had 1 double, 4 bogeys, 12 pars, and a single 🐥. Not her best round of golf by a long shot but there are still 54 holes left to play and she is only 5 strokes off the lead.

Today Jordan will take the T at 12 again with Coach on the bag and SuperMom leading the cheering squad. She told dad that Carl was a very effective Caddy stopping her from doing some things that could have really gotten her into trouble. The course is playing long at almost 6300 yards and with the wind it was anything but easy. Add the trees and the water and you have the potential for some real trouble. The rating of the course was 78.3 yesterday meaning that B’s 77 was actually a -1.3 differential.

That’s all for now. We will be back tonight with the update from SuperMom and hopefully a pic or two that she sneaks in. Thanks for the comments yesterday, especially Gramma Jerie who never misses the opportunity to follow Jordan. As someone who has never picked up a golf club, her dedication to Jordan’s game is a testament to a grandmothers love and Jordan is incredibly grateful to have you in her life.
