Jordan shoots -5 (67) with 6đŸ„â€™s shooting low round for the day, medaling for the first time at an AJGA, taking Runner Up honors, and earning “Exempt Status” for the remainder of her junior golf career on the AJGA tour. (Click for details, pics, etc).

This was really a big one for Jordan. For the tournament she shot 75-70-67. There was a lot at stake here for her. The AJGA is the big league and taking a top three finish had eluded her before today. In fact, for most of the day she was stubbornly stuck in 4th place shooting -1 on the front. On the back, the harder side of this course, she caught fire đŸ„ing 4 of the back 9 including a “three peat” on 12,13,14 to shoot a bogey free 4 under 32 on the side to claw her way into the second place position shooting the low round of the day.

Finishing in the top 3 also gives Jordan the highly coveted “Exempt Status” for the next calendar year on the AJGA tour. As we have previously explained, to get into an AJGA event one needs a certain number of performance stars or exempt status thus making it very hard for players to choose their tournaments because of how few get into each event. Jordan can now choose her 5 AJGA events for next year as she pleases. As this next calendar year will be her last as a junior (yeah, we really can’t believe it either) so what it really means that as far as she is concerned she never has to think about that again. A big deal.

Jordan with her low round of the day head cover and her trophy

1 bogey, 11 pars, and 6 đŸ„â€™s. Thats it.
Final Leaderboard

Jordan and the boy’s champion who is also a student at Dwight Global

again, no idea who took it but it was sent and so we will steal it.

That’s all for now. Exciting 8 days for the B. She will have 3 days rest before Coach Carl comes in on Monday night to NY for 2 days to get her straighten out before her next tournament that begins August 26th in Albany, another AJGA the UHY Albany Junior. Thank you for all of the texts, calls, emails comments etc.
