The Mizuno Junior Championship is this weekend in Hot Springs Arkansas and Jordan will take the T at 9:21 tomorrow for the opening round. (Click for pictures and details).

On Tuesday at noon B and SuperMom took two long flights followed by an hour at the Avis counter and a 90 minute drive in the pouring rain to get to Hot Springs, A 10 hour journey .(NetJets, if you are reading this, she is open to NIL sponsorship rights😁). As usual, light packing was the order of the day…

The little needed gear for 54 holes of golf.

In the terminal with the luggage waiting SuperMom’s return with the rental car..Note the clubs never leave her grasp.

The plan was to have a practice round yesterday and today but again rain and high winds got in the way and yesterday’s practice round went the way of Noah’s Ark. After a morning of classes in Jordan’s virtual classroom Jordan found an indoor facility with a simulator so that she could swing and stay loose.

Today she finally got to have her practice round in 35 mile an hour winds and uncut greens because of the rain but at least she was able to see the course. Tomorrow she will T off at 9:21 central time, 10:21 EST. There are 27 girls in the field and getting in was very competitive. Fourteen states are represented here as is China. The tournament will be 54 holes contested over three days and it looks like the rain has finally cleared out of the area. The practice area at the club was closed today so the AJGA recommended a local driving range in the middle of nowhere. Only problem was that nobody informed the place that they were sending 100 players there…really funny story that we will request SuperMom submit for publication tomorrow or over the weekend.

Tonight was dinner and early to bed as warmup will come early tomorrow. That’s all for now. Leaderboard should be live and the link is below for those that care to follow. We will be back tomorrow night to share the highlights of the day. Thank you for following. B sincerely appreciates all of the comments and good wishes as does the rest of her crew.

  1. Jordan and SuperMom, will be thinking of you for the next 3 days! Hope the weather turns out to be great…funny small-world story about Hot Springs. We spent nearly every summer as kids at my aunt’s beautiful lakefront home in Hot Springs, skiing all summer on Lake Ouachita (pronounced Wash-a-tal), starting when I was 4 years old. (Marc might remember us skiing together when John and I first met him in Jumby Bay, another great story!) It’s an interesting town for sure, but I hope it brings fabulous luck to you in this tournament! Go! Go! Go!
