CHAMPION! JORDAN IS THE 60TH ANNUAL NEW YORK STATE JUNIOR AMATEUR CHAMPION. LOW ROUND OF THE DAY, LOW ROUND OF THE TOURNAMENT, LOW ROUND OF HER CAREER. (Click for pictures and details).

Jordan closed out the NY Junior Am today delivering a devastating score of 65, 6 under par carding the lowest round of her young golf career. She was bogey free through 17 with 7🐥’s before dropping her only bogey of the day on 18. The 65 was the lowest round that anyone of the over 100 contestants boy or girl shot over 3 days and over 300 total rounds of golf. For the tournament total Jordan shot 206, -7 for three rounds on the par 71 course.

Just like when there is not too much to say when B does not have a great game, there is even less to say when she plays like this. Tournament of her life and this blogger is super proud of all of her hard work. Big props go out to Coach Carl Rabito who took a kid that three years ago was barely breaking 100 to shooting a 65 on a course rated almost 77 and winning the State Jr. Am. Coach Jerry Yochum got her to love golf and want to compete, then turned her over to Carl to make a champion.

Jordan’s Score Card Today

Jordan is on her way home now with SuperMom behind the wheel and by her side with a trophy that she gets to keep, and a trophy that she will get to babysit for a year when she will either have to defend it or return it. In addition, she has won exemptions into two other major tournaments and most significantly is now AJGA EXEMPT. She will rest over the next two days before returning to competition on Monday in New Haven Ct. for the Northern Jr. We will bring you details over the next few days along with a link to the live leaderboard and B’s T time for Tuesday, the opening round. Monday is the practice round.

That’s all for now. We will leave you with lots of scenes from the day. Some of the images from SuperMom and some we stole from the NYSGA posts. So grateful for all the support for Jordan both in tough times and after a tournament like this one.
