JORDAN SHOOTS LOW ROUND OF THE DAY TYING FOR LOW ROUND OF THE TOURNAMENT TO FINISH TIED FOR SECOND PLACE IN VIRGINIA. (Click for details and pictures).

This was a very exciting round for the B. She started the day in 3rd place six strokes off of the leader, 5 strokes out of 2nd place. For the first seven holes, she was flawless shooting nothing but pars. For all seven of those holes, she was on in regulation, 2 putts, and the ball sank. On 8, a par 5, second shot was a bit short forcing a bigger club for her 3rd shot which ended up at the very back of the green. Jordan had a long way to go and 3 putt for a bogey. 9, a par 3 would turn out to be the most difficult hole of the day. The drive would bounce off the green. Second shot was also short. Third finally got on, then 2 putt for double bogey ending the side at +3. Golf as they say (once you get good) “is 95% mental, with the other 5% mental.”

After the bogey on 8, and the double on 9, nobody would have been surprised to see the wheels come off of the wagon on the back 9. Instead, Jordan put together the best side she has played in quite some time shooting -3 including 3🐥’s and 6 pars with zero bogeys.

Jordan’s Brilliant Card today (Unbiased blogger)

For the day, Jordan had 1 double bogey, 1 bogey, 13 pars, and 3 🐥’s. She was low round of the day, and she tied for low round of the tournament. Course rating was 75.4. When B called dad after the round, her comment was simply, “I ran out of holes.” In the end she came within 3 strokes of the champion making up half of the distance she started the day with. Coach Carl has been saying since the beginning, “Everyone makes mistakes, everyone has bad holes, everyone cards bogeys. The difference is that the champions are past it on the very next hole.” Jordan did just that this afternoon and this blogger is very very proud of her.

Final Leaderboard

Jordan will attend a Nike College Showcase Camp this evening and the whole day tomorrow that is being given by some D1 coaches and will include a mini tournament under their watchful eyes. Tomorrow at 5 SuperMom will collect her and deliver her back to Bedford.

Next week Jordan will attempt to qualify for the Notah Begay III Jr. National Golf Championship that will be played in November and will air on the Golf Channel. It will be a 36 hole qualifier being contested over two days. Not sure how many spots will be awarded or if there will be a live leaderboard but we will bring you up to date next week when that is all announced along with her T time. This is generally a two qualifier event meaning you first have to make it through a local qualifier before going to a regional one. Jordan has been exempted straight into a regional which is what she will be playing next week. If she qualifies in this tournament, she will go to the main event in Louisiana in November.

That’s all for now. Jordan is grateful that you have decided to join her on this journey. Thank you for all of the texts, emails, notes, and calls. Please keep them coming. SuperMom killed it with the pictures today! She rocks.

Monkey got a hold of the trophy. Patience today paid off.
