Jordan walked 17.6 miles, hit every fairway except one for 36 holes and shot 20 fewer strokes then she did at her US Open Qualifier last year but unfortunately that was not enough. (Click for pics and more)

For the second time in as many years the Woman’s USOpen will be one small dinosaur short. She gave it her all but this course ate them up and spit them out. It was brutal and hilly with almost no sand in the bunkers and she never gave up. Six others did not have the guts to finish. In the end B bested 21 of them. These were not kids, but rather hardened division one college players, and some LPGA Tour Players.

Obviously she is disappointed but no less determined. When asked if she made it to the USOPEN her reply will simply be, “Not Yet.”

Oh, and she almost got an ace today…that is a hole in one. Ball sat halfway over the hole. As Allen said, “Could a gust of wind not come?” Seriously, it was that close. Picture below.

Tomorrow morning super early she drives back to NY so she can be in time for class and her driver can get to his afternoon meetings. On to the next. We will update the schedule as it unfolds.

That’s all for now. Super grateful for all of the texts, emails, calls, and comments. Finally, an important note, Jerry Yochum is my new hero…Seriously, he walked every one of those 17.6 miles by the B’s side, kept her calm, helped her read the putts, discussed shots, raked bunkers, and all the while pushing Jordan’s very heavy cart full of clubs up and down these bloody mountains they call hills here in Pittsburgh. No joke, every hole is up or down a hill. There is nothing flat, not even the greens. Coach Jerry, thank you for all you do for the B from her very grateful family.

Waiting to T off

Jordan and the Super Hero
