Jordan arrived in Athens Alabama last night and prepares for the AJGA Junior at Canebrake presented by Piedmont Bank. (Click for pics and more).

For those of you who have never been to Alabama and are considering a visit, be sure you like BBQ as that is the staple here in Athens for the culinary scene. When Jordan landed last night she was chasing it and after passing half a dozen churches and gun shops she dove into a plate at the famous Big Bob Gibsons.

Ribs were incredible matched only by the kindness of the locals who made her feel like she was a regular. When asked for hot sauce, the waitress, Maria said, “You need to come over to my mom’s house. She makes it from scratch.”

B’s trip from Orlando to Athens was a quick 65 minute hop thanks to her Golf Grandfather Allen’s flying her up on his airplane. Allen, we are all grateful, thank you once again for not only being Jordan’s biggest fan, but also for your generosity towards her. Please know how much she appreciates it.

On “Air Allen” B’s clubs fly first class.

She insists that this was comfortable as she slept for the hour long flight. We are skeptical

This morning at 6:15 Jordan left the hotel to go and play her practice round at Canebrake. It was a shotgun formation and she T’d off from 8. She shot even with 5🐥’s, 3 bogeys and a double. Carl felt it was a solid beginning for a course she had never seen before. There were no surprises and he feels she is in fighting form.

This is an AJGA Open and the level of competition is very high. The course is vast and open. Coach Carl and dad walked 7.5 miles this morning following the round. A few stats from that AJGA site:

Tomorrow Jordan will take the T at 9:20 central time, 10:20 EST. Below is the link to the live leaderboard for those that want to follow:

That’s all for now. Thank you for all of the calls and texts, comments and emails. This has been a long training off season for Jordan but the action starts tomorrow and her schedule is crazy full. To our family in Cali who we saw last week including those visiting from Australia, South Africa, and Israel, B hopes to bring the show to your side of the country later this summer and we look forward to more great times together. A big happy birthday once again to David.

6:14 am….And she was not too pleased with the photographer…..what’s new?
