JORDAN TURNS 16, and a very exciting summer season begins to come into focus.

Incredible cake made for the B by her Uncle Tracy.

Jordan had a birthday “couple of weeks” of note with visits from David Sirkin, Yirong (Dan), Iris, & Sarah Zheng, Ed Reda visited last week, and coach Jerry Yochum just left last night after three days with Jordan and Carl. Unfortunately Gramma Jerie and Cool aunt Sara were not able to join as Sara found Covid. Tomorrow Jordan’s best buddy Faith is coming in for what will be a fun filled best girl weekend.

Since the last blog Jordan has played with many friends here in FL including Robyn and Bryan Greenberg, Larry Lieberman, Al and Ry Rabil, Allen and David Sirkin, Sarah and Dan Zheng, and her old friends from OCN Davis and Nicholas. When Rich Learner was in to cover the Arnold Palmer on the Golf Channel, Jordan hosted him for a round at Tranquillo where we understand he shot the lights out.

Jordan will kick off her third full season April 22nd in Greenville North Carolina having been accepted into the Peggy Kirk Bell Masters. This is a 54 hole tournament that will be contested over two days with 36 holes on day one and the final 18 on day two. This will be her first tournament of the season and she is playing one of their most competitive events.

As so many of the tournaments that Jordan hopes to play in this summer will require her to play a qualifier, the schedule will be constantly shifting and moving as she qualifies for or is excepted into come to fruition. So….here are the current tournaments and qualifiers that Jordan will play:

April 22nd – 23rd Peggy Kirk Bell Masters – Greenville NC

May 9th – USOPEN Qualifier – Pittsburgh PA

May 15th – Golf Illustrated Invitational – Bedford, NY

May 27th – May 29th Peggy Kirk Bell Open Championship – Salisbury NC

June 5-8th – AJGA – TBD

June 13th – US Girls Qualifier ( US Jr. Am) – Pittsburgh, PA

June 19th – US WOMANS Amateur Qualifier – Sundre Alberta Canada (only qualifier date that B is not in another tournament)

June 25th-June 30th – Western Jr. – Kirkwood, Missouri

July and August will be determined by how Jordan does in many of the qualifiers above. She has been accepted into the NY woman’s Jr. Amateur (it is the same week as the Western Jr. so she will not get to play that), she was accepted into the NY Woman’s Amateur and depending on her schedule she may or may not get to play that one. Jordan was also exempted into the Northern Jr. Again, she is not sure if she will be able to play that one either. Anyway, as you can see with this writers terrible run on paragraph, B’s schedule for July and August is completely up in the air at this point. She is super excited to compete.

That’s all for now. We have not posted in a while and that is not because anything is wrong. Everything is going according to plan and way ahead of schedule according to Coach Carl Rabito. This blog was set up to keep Jordan’s friends (and those of her parents) and family up to date on her journey, provide the links to leaderboards, share pictures, videos, scheduling, and the highs and lows along the way. When there is nothing to share, we don’t post. We are so grateful for all of the interest and support that everyone has shown both Jordan and the rest of us. Please keep the notes, texts, comments, calls coming! Our next post will be April 19th or 20th when we have the T times and the link to the leaderboard for the PKB Masters (unless something important comes up).

Can you make out the tan line?

Finally, Yirong took some incredible photos while he was here that we will share with you.
