Jordan forced to scratch from the Honda Junior Classic. (Click for details).

On Friday after the tournament last week Jordan did not feel well. By Saturday she had a fever of 104.5. After a trip to the doctor and the usual tests, she was negative for Covid and RSV but positive for Flu A, the one they are not giving a vaccine for. She has had a tough couple of days but is now on the mend. As she has not picked up a club since Thursday, her coaches, Super Mom, Dad, and her sponsors (oh wait, those were the last two) have made the tough decision to take her out of this weekend’s tournament. She has fought everyone to try to play (she would play with the plague if not stopped) but the team is staying united and she is staying home. Tomorrow the hope is that she will be ok to finally start practicing again.

Jordan leaves next Wednesday for the AJGA Bermuda Open. She will fly out Wednesday, have practice rounds Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday then play the tournament Saturday, Sunday and Monday. This will be the first AJGA of the year and it is important that B be back to 100%.

Missing the Honda is a tough break for Jordan as she had so many friends and family coming out to support her. A big thank you to Papa Selwyn and Gramma Jerie who were coming to watch and Sister Sara who was coming to Orlando to stay with Lulu so that Jordan’s driver was free to work for her. In addition, Allen, David, and Juliet Sirkin, Ed Reda, Alicia Occhiograsso, Matt & Jodi Siegal, Joe Russo and Scott Frey reached out to say they were going to catch some of the action. Finally, Jordan had a great visit with coach Tiffany last week.

We truly appreciate all of the support for Jordan. Thats all for now. We will blog once again from Bermuda when we are given T times.

  1. I can’t possibly know the disappointment you had to feel knowing that you couldn’t or better said shouldn’t play in the PGA tournament. You’re clearly one of those athletes that wants to go the distance no matter what…..and that’s part of your strength and extreme ability to continue moving forward. But then there’s this really shitty flu that knocked you down and down is where you belong for now. Your talent will just keep growing… your health needs a careful eye 👁 on it and that’s what Momma and Dad need to do…and they are doing a great job helping to make a very unpopular decision. I personally look forward to your next outing knowing this moment is just a little blip on the radar. You young lady are unstoppable. 🤗😘😊. Xox

  2. Jordan, sorry to hear you aren’t feeling 100% but it does sound like it is the right call, as much as it’s probably a huge disappointment not to play in this tournament. I hope you get better super fast and are ready for the next tournament! You’ll do great! You have an exciting road ahead…one tournament won’t change that! Hang in there! We’re super proud of you! – the Schleefs
