Jordan’s day did not go as planned. Today Jordan shot a +7 to end the AJGA Jr. Open at Normanside in 11th place. But, what a season it has been….(Click for a recap of Summer 2022 Tour.)

Today marked the end of the regular summer season and Jordan’s last AJGA of 2022. What a season it has been. Jordan has played 11 tournaments (plus qualifiers and invitationals) since June, the official start of the summer season and progressed much farther and much faster then anyone could have imagined, except Jordan of course.

Oh, the places she has been. Since June, Jordan competed in 9 states this summer; New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Illinois, Florida and California. In total, she drove (she was driven, she is only 15 after all) 4,948 miles. She also flew to San Diego and to Florida.

Some Milestones:

Jordan made every cut in every tournament that she played.

Was accepted into and played 5 AJGA tournaments (The most you can play). 4 Jr. All Stars and 1 Open.

Played two USGA qualifiers; The US Junior Girls, and The Woman’s USOPEN (unfortunately she did qualify for either this year)

Took her handicap index from 2 to a +2.9.

Won an AJGA Jr. All Star Qualifier

Won the Northern Jr. Qualifier shooting -1

Won 2 Met Jr. PGA Futures Series tournaments (tied for the most wins on that tour)

Won The Jr. Am at the Gauntlet, her first pro-am style tournament

Shot under par in 4 tournament rounds including a 68 (-4) at Torrey Pines where she was the only 15 year old from the US to make the cut where 75% of the field was sent home ages 15-18.

Of her 11 tournaments, B had 7 top 10 finishes, 4 of those top 5 with two championships.

Of all of Jordan’s rounds since June, only one was an 80. Every other round was in the 70’s or 60’s.

All and all a wildly successful season full of highs and lows, but just great. Jordan was told today that she has been chosen to play in the Tommy Kuhn cup, an event that pits the best players from Westchester against the best players on Long Island in a Davis Cup style team event. Only the top 3 players from each Met Jr. PGA section were chosen. That will be this coming Wednesday. On Tuesday Jordan will play in an AJGA Fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club at Stanwich Country Club in Greenwich. She raised $2,500 for the cause. A big thank you to our friend Jason Fay who hosted Jordan for a practice round a few weeks back. (She shot a +1 that day by the way.)

Over the next 6 weeks or so there will be a couple of final Met PGA events at Bethpage that Jordan will play but the heavy lifting from this summer tour is over. Jordan starts school in a few weeks and will return to Orlando sometime around the middle of October where she and Carl will get back to work in the off season. He believes that there is still work to be done on Jordan’s release point. There are a few major tournaments over the winter that she will also play and we promise to keep you updated. This blog has been viewed by you, our friends and family 6,733 times over this year as it seems B has captured your imagination. Again, we can’t thank you enough for the incredible support. This is a lonely road (though filled with excitement) that Jordan has chosen and all of you who support her and all of us bring real happiness knowing we are not alone. We are truly grateful. Big Hugs and special love to Grama Jerie who comments on every blog and though she knows less then nothing about golf is Jordan’s biggest and most loyal fan…Allen, you are a close second.

Thats all for now.

Hydrating.
Beautiful Normanside

Seemed like a great final photo for the blog for the summer 2022 Tour.

  1. Jordon, you have had a very active Summer. Lots of ups and downs.
You should be very proud of your accomplishments. I know you have worked very hard. Your work will pay off. You have gained lots of experience this Summer in tournament events. That will also pay off soon. Please remember you have only been playing golf for a few years. It is amazing what you have done.

I know it has been very tiring not only for you but Mom also along with your support team. Golf can rewarding if you love it, stick to it, and continue to work as hard as you have. The experience you have gain will pay off.

Also Mark thank for all the updates. Videos, and pictures. I have not missed a one.
    GREAT SEASON!!!
    LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING MORE.

  2. Congratulations on a “road well traveled”…I know firsthand, none of us really knows where the journey might take us, and who Jordan might meet or where she might place her roots.
It’s a fabulous opportunity to develop oneself in so many ways, and meet others she would otherwise never come in contact with. Plus the journey you’ve so diligently documented and created is a lifetime of memories preserved, and to be quietly again enjoyed and digested later. The outpouring of so many appreciating what you so well presented and shared warms many hearts and brings many smiles :))))

  3. Jordan, what an amazing journey this has been so far. We are so impressed with your commitment and your effort, not only to golf, but to everything you do. And to Julie, Marc & super fan Lyla, such an amazing support team for Jordan to follow this passion, wherever it might lead. It’s been really fun to read about and cheer her on from afar!

What a great recap and year–for only 2 years of playing competitively at this level. I look forward to keeping up (here) and seeing you at the Gauntlet next year. Congratulations to you and your parents.

Keep it up … but always remember that the choice is yours. love you darling Jordan, gramma jerie
