Jordan shoots 76 on day one of the Northern Junior Championship to land in a tie for 10th place after the first round. (Click for more).

The B had quite a start this morning parring one and 🐥ing 2 &3. After that it was up and down with no real rhythm to the day. She would finish the front side at +1 with those first two early birdies being the only ones of the day that would fall. According to Super Mom, she left 6 birdie putts hanging on the rim and the course was terribly chopped up. Twice Jordan’s shots would land in unfixed divits on the fairway making for some very tough second and third shots. Jordan went up and down often to save par and had only one three putt on the day with lots of one putts.

The huge surprise of the day for Jordan was the surprise of Jerry and PJ Yochum at the tournament. When Jerry left Jordan in San Diego he told her that he would be visiting the Northeast this month but that they were arriving later in August. He and PJ altered their plans so that they could be here to support Jordan today and tomorrow. Jordan was very happy they were there and is super appreciative of the effort that they made to do it.

At the end of today B is only 4 strokes out of first place, and only two strokes out of a top five finish. The field is strong and the course plays much harder on the back 9 then the front. As a matter of fact, Jerry says that this course is playing harder then Torrey Pines. Tomorrows T time is 12 noon and Jordan is determined to again make her way up that leaderboard with a super strong finish.

That’s all for now. Thank you for your interest.

These were at the warm up spots so the scouts would know whose swing they were looking at.

Super Mom did an amazing job today capturing on film the elusive species “TyrannosaurusB” for the first time in weeks

Two sightings in one day!
