B was determined to have a top ten finish in this tournament and fought like hell to make sure it would happen. Round was up and down but when it came down to it, she put her foot down and showed the same determination that she has shown throughout this season and she did it. 6th place finish, top 25% of the field.

On the front nine, Jordan had 2 🐥’s and one bogey going -1. On the back, it started rough. B parred, ten, bogeyed 1, parred twelve, then bogeyed 13 and 14 going to +2, her highest score of the day…Then, she came alive and 🐥’d 15, 🐥’d 16, and 🐥’d 17 to get to -1. Two of the putts were from over 30 feet according to Super Mom with the flag still in the cup. She would bogey the final hole to end even. After the dust had settled, and all of the scores had been counted, Jordan had made a gigantic leap up the leaderboard from 12th place to 6th, the biggest move of any of the competitors for the day. She had the second lowest round of the day. She would finish with 5 bogeys, 8 pars, and 5 🐥’s.
After the round, Super Mom drove them back up to Bolingbrook where they went out for dinner with Yirong, Iris, and Sarah Zheng for a great looking Italian dinner in Naperville.

Tomorrow Jordan will work with Carl from 8-1, then the Dynamic Duo will get on the road and start the ride back home and end this leg of the summer tour. B will take Saturday off completely, then have a light workout on Sunday swinging just enough to stay loose before beginning the Northern Junior Championship on Monday. We will post the T time for Monday as well as the link to the leaderboard on Sunday night. Hopefully Yirong will pull out his camera tomorrow when he visits Jordan at Carl’s teaching facility and take pictures of something other then Mc Donalds.
That’s all for now. Thank you for all of the great notes, comments, texts and phone calls. A special thanks once again to the Zhengs for hosting Julie and the B in Illinois. They have truly become family who we love.
Really enjoy the updates and love watching Jordan improve. Keep up the good work B.
And I like pictures of food! And boats! And Jordan! Jim
