CHAMPION! JORDAN SHOOTS -2 TO TAKE FIRST PLACE AT MET JR. PGA FUTURES SERIES TOURNAMENT AT SPOOK ROCK TODAY. (click for details and pictures).

Jordan started the day today in second place one stroke behind the leader after shooting a 73 yesterday, one over par. She would come out swinging for the fences with a 🐥 on 1 and a second 🐥on 2. She would go on to par 3,4,5,6,& 7 before carding a double bogey on 8, a par three when it took her two strokes to get out of a green side bunker. She parred 9 to finish the front even par. On the back, she was magnificent. 10 was a par, 11 a 🐥, 12 a par, 13 a 🐥, 14 & 15 both pars, 16 another bird, her 5th of the day. 17 was a three putt bogey and she finished 18 as a par. In all, one double bogey, one bogey, 11 pars, and 5 birds to finish at -2, her best score in a tournament round.

Jordan’s score card

With yesterdays +1, Jordan for the first time completed tournament with a total score under par, 143 strokes for a -1. Jordan had 8 🐥’s in the two day event, the most in the tournament. She was the only player, boy or girl to shoot under par. She was the low round today, and the low round of the tournament, boy or girl, period. She finished the tournament 5 strokes ahead of second place. As Carl likes to say, ”Today she did not leave it to the judges.”

Final Leaderboard.

No rest for Jordan…..Tomorrow Jordan will play a qualifier to try to earn a spot in the 20th Annual Northern Junior Championship that will be played August 1-3rd at The Great River Golf Club in Milford Ct. B’s T time is at 12:00 and Super Mom will be following and hopefully snapping some pictures for us. There should be a live leaderboard and the top 3 will make the cut.
