Tomorrow Jordan will play a qualifier for the 77th US Open in June. (Click for pics and more).

Jordan arrived in Morristown on Saturday afternoon in the pouring rain with Coach Carl, Caddy Darren, and her dad to set up camp for Tuesday’s qualifier at Morristown Golf Club. There will be 66 woman competing for 4 places and 2 alternate positions. This will be the first adult tournament that Jordan will be playing (aside from the Ladies club championship at Rockrimmon) and the level of play promises to be great.

Saturday was pretty much a washout but we again had the kindness of strangers as we were hosted for lunch at Morristown by the club’s president, Norman Lewis who is a friend of a friend of Darren. Thank you Norman and please thank your charming bride for the hospitality. Yesterday, Norman hosted Jordan to play a round and again familiarize herself with the course.

Today our good friend Brett Stratton hosted Jordan with the coach and Darren at Montclair Golf Course where they pretty much had the course all to themselves for the day and Darren was able to get properly dialed in on Jordan’s distances and some of the more difficult shots that he learned she was capable of. This will be invaluable as he guides her through 36 holes tomorrow. The qualifier is two back to back rounds beginning for Jordan on 10 tomorrow at 8 am. Her second round is from hole 1 at 1:15.

Tomorrow following B will be Papa Selwyn, Coach Carl, our friend John Daniel from Montreal, and Dad. Darren will be on the bag.

This is the link to the leaderboard. As it is going to be electronic scoring, it should be live with the link above but we are not sure.

Thats all for now. Many thanks once again for all of the support.

  1. Every time I think we could not be any more proud,
Jordan, you do something that makes us even more proud. Dad needs to start with a CAPITAL letter.
LOVE the crew and to the crew participating in this tournament.
