Writer’s two week strike is over and tons to report! (Click for the updates).

It has been a very hectic couple of weeks for Jordan’s journalistic staff but happy to report that after two trips up and down from Orlando to Pound Ridge we are back in action and ready to bring everyone up to date. Thank you for all of the texts of concern, we assure you nothing is wrong, all is good just a massively complicated schedule.

After the tournament ended on Sunday the 14th, Jordan had the privilege of playing her very favorite course in the world, The Bears Club as Allen Sirkin’s guest. She played with Allen and Louis Bell while her father and David Sirkin walked along and offered nothing constructive whatsoever. Jordan lit up the course shooting a four over, 76, from the white tees much to the shock and delight of Allen’s caddy who just the day before had carried for Gary Player. After the round she had school for 4 hours, then her chauffeur (dad) brought her back to Orlando with a stop for Pho along the way. Tuesday she and Carl went back to work for what would be 4 days of intense training along with her school work.

On Saturday the 20th, the Zheng family including superstar Sarah who won or came in second in every tournament this fall for her high school including being inducted into the hall of fame returned to Orlando. Sarah and Jordan got right to it on Saturday challenging each other on the Tooth at Orange County National. When Jordan first arrived in Orlando exactly one year ago, Sarah had to give her 20 strokes if they were to play together. Now, B makes Sarah have to work for it. Yirong ”Danny” Zheng is an incredible photographer and took some shots of the B below. The fog provided a very cool background for some of the photos. Danny is officially Team Jordan’s entire photo staff and her agent for the princely sum of $1 per year. We are incredibly grateful for our friendship with the Zheng family and for all of the support and advice that they provide having been down this road with Sarah who is 18 and will be playing for Carleton College in the fall having signed a letter of intent with them.

Saturday the 20th will also be remembered for another thing….JORDAN GOT HER FIRST HOLE IN ONE!!! It was a 114 yard par 3 on the tooth, hole number 6 over the water. There was a 2 club wind from the right. Jordan launched the ball with her 9 iron, it landed 2 feet right of the pin with perfect amount of spin and dropped in the hole. Congratulations to B and Carl.

This past weekend Jordan played her first IMG tournament on the International Course at Championsgate. This a very tough course. She was trailed by coach Carl, her Papa Selwyn, Dan, Iris and Sarah Zheng as well as her dad. Again, a very big thank you to the Zheng family for a three day commitment of following Jordan. Sarah played the practice round with B on Thanksgiving morning giving her important insight into this very tricky course. The Zheng family has a home at the resort so Sarah’s knowledge was extremely valuable.

The tournament started out extremely strong for Jordan. She started on number 10 and parred the first four holes and birdied the 5th. All four of the first holes were birdie opportunities that simply missed by inches. After 5, Jordan was actually leading the tournament. 15 (Jordan’s 6th hole) would be the first of three straight bogeys putting her at plus 2. She would then par the next four, putting her back in 2nd place before disaster would strike on hole number 6 (Jordan’s 15th hole). Drive went swimming, followed by a second ball that joined the first in the pond. She ended up carding a 9 for the hole that basically ended her run for victory in the tournament. She could not shake it off and ended up bogeying the last three to finish the day at 11 over par and 13th place. There was great stuff that day for sure, and coach Carl was encouraged. Day 2 was a much more respectable 77 including 2 birdies. Jordan would end the tournament right in the middle of the pack in 12th place.

From our newest segment, ”Signs from the Course.”

This coming weekend is the Hurricane National Championship on The National Course at Championsgate. Jordan and Carl will play the practice round on Friday morning. Julie will be there with Carl cheering her on.

We will post the link to the live leaderboard and the T times when they come out on Thursday.

Finally, for those who like the technical stuff, here are lots of videos from the last few weeks of training from Carl. Thanks all, this should bring you up to date. We will try to post in a more timely manner going forward. Please keep the comments and texts coming…they fuel us to keep posting! – The editorial staff.
