Jordan arrived in Palm Beach Gardens at PGA on Wednesday night and is acclimating quickly to the tropical conditions and getting used to the grass and the sand in preparation for The Optimist Tournament of Champions that begins tomorrow. (Click for more).

This is going to be an exciting tournament and should be extremely competitive. There are 44 girls here from 14-18 years of age. They come from Florida, Indiana, California, Missouri, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona, New York, Arkansas, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and South Carolina and that is only the USA. Internationally, there are players from the Bahamas, Mexico, Uruguay, Jamaica, The Caiman Islands, Panama, Canada, and Bolivia.

Today Jordan worked with Carl this morning to loosen up, then, after an hour thunderstorm delay went out for a practice round on the Fazio course at PGA National. It was a bit chaotic with the rain but she settled down after the first 9 holes and Carl feels that she will be in the right frame of mind tomorrow after sinking a couple of birdies.

T off for The B will be at 9am. Her cheering section tomorrow will include Allen Sirkin, Carl Rabito, Ed Reda, and her father. There will be a live leaderboard, link below.

Below is a totally new section we are adding to the blog called “Signs of the Day” Featuring what gets posted at golf courses. Often thought provoking, never dull.

Jordan read this just before she shanked a ball through someones window. Hey, there was water on the left. If you don’t want your house to get hit by a golf ball, don’t build it 10 feet off of the fairway. Sorry about that.
Pretty self explanatory, no?
I think they are saying, ”Thou Shalt not Steal?” Glad they cleared that up for us. Stealing stuff is bad.

Finally, today’s videos.

That’s all for today. Check the leaderboard tomorrow often if you like as it will get updated after each and every hole. Sunday’s T time will be posted tomorrow after all of the players are finished. Hope for a late one as the later she T-s off, the better position she will be in. Thank you again for all of the amazing texts, emails, notes, calls of encouragement. They mean the world to us and to Jordan.

  1. Lovely information from my darling Marc – he makes our news so interesting – I am always smarter after reading his reviews. Lovely picture of our Uncle ED and Jordan. I am tired already seeing what my granddaughter schleps around on her back. But she loves it and I am so happy for her. Good luck tomorrow – I’ll be checking the leaderboard. love you grandma jerie
