JORDAN IS THE 2021 ROCKRIMMON COUNTRY CLUB LADIES CHAMPION!

Today, at 14 years of age, Jordan became the youngest champion in the history of Rockrimmon with her 15 & 13 victory. This means that Jordan was ahead by 15 holes with only 13 left to play making it a mathematical impossibility for her opponent to win. Play ended after only 5 holes with Jordan winning 4 and tying one. B did it with style birding 1 & 3, and parring 2 & 4. Both her and her opponent parred 4 to half that hole. Jordan did not lose a single hole today. As a final total, of the 23 total holes played of the 36 hole tournament, Jordan won 17, tied 4, and only lost 2.

This tournament had a ton of significance for Jordan as it marked exactly one year since her first competitive tournament, the 2020 ladies club championship. It is also Jordan’s very first 1st place finish. (That is a mouthful, but you get the idea).

A big thank you to both Jerry and Carl Jordan’s incredible coaching duo for all you have done to get Jordan to this point. She would definitely not be here without both of you.

At Rockrimmon, there is a Ladies Club Champion, and there is a Club Champion. The Ladies Club Champion is the best female player at the the club. THE CLUB Champion is the best player at the club regardless of gender. Historically, it has always been won by a man and there has never been a woman who has tried to compete for it. Jordan let everyone know this afternoon that next year she plans to change that and will compete for the title.

Tomorrow Jordan travels to Albany via Mom’s Taxi to play her practice round in preparation for the qualifier on Monday.
