The level of play today was the highest Jordan has ever come across. The girls have come from Florida, New Jersey, Washington, California, Texas, Illinois, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Shanghai China, and Vancouver Canada. They range in age from a 12 year old phenom to 19 year olds who have already graduated high school and will start college in the next few weeks.
Jordan shot a 6 over 78 and is tied for 24th place after the first 18 holes. The leaders are tied at a 3 under 69. Jordan’s struggles today centered around club selection into the green. They say you can never have too much of a good thing, but the work that Carl did with B this weekend in helping her eliminate her pull cut might have been exactly that. The great news is that she no longer seems to be coming across the top with the pull cut, but it contributed greatly to Jordan flying 7 greens today. That combined with 3 three putts led her to 10 bogeys for the round. On the bright side, Jordan carded 4 birdies to keep the round at a plus 6. After the round, she stopped by Rockrimmon to work on her irons a bit to attempt to sort out the distances.
