Jordan arrived back in Orlando on Monday and started back up with Carl on Tuesday afternoon after an exciting weekend at Bethpage. Interesting to note, Bethpage this past weekend was exactly one year from when she played her very first Metropolitan Jr. PGA event. At the event in 2020 B carded 82/82 for the tournament […]

Jordan completed her 10 days of training in Orlando with Carl Rabito and arrived back in Pound Ridge last night for Bethpage this weekend. (Click for videos, leaderboard etc.)

After two weeks of swimming at 5am, long school days and 4-6 hour daily torture sessions with Carl, B got to sleep in her bed at home last night in Westchester. (Lyla and her dad were thrilled to see both her and her mom). Carl felt that training was extremely productive with lots of time […]

The great coach John Wooden once said, “Character is what you do when nobody is watching.” Jordan is putting in the effort for sure. Today, six more hours of very tough work getting ready for some big tournaments. Bethpage next weekend, followed by the Optimist Tournament of Champions in mid November in Palm Beach at PGA. After that, she will compete in the IMG Thanksgiving Tournament at Championsgate, and The Hurricane Tour National Championship the first weekend in December. The New Year will kick off with The Honda Jr. Classic the first week of January. Many thanks to Coaches Jerry Yochum in NY and Carl Rabito in Orlando for their dedication to Jordan. Day 3 for B of the Winter slog was all about compression. This is when you actually compress the golf ball between the club and the ground and it compresses then explodes as it rolls up the front of the club head and climbs into the sky. If you have ever watched a professional golfer hit the ball you will notice that it will actually jump and accelerate during its upward trajectory. Not an easy thing to master, but if you can, it makes your game that much more powerful. It requires the player to hit down on the ball (which is how the golf clubs are actually made to be hit) rather then to “Scoop” the ball as most recreational golfers do. Much more technical then most care about, but it gives context to the videos from today. (Click for videos).
