In the only event of the year being hosted by Notre Dame Jordan will take the T box of hole number one at 9am this morning for this one day 36 hole (two back to back rounds) tournament. Nine teams are in South Bend today with a total of 54 competitors. Though all 8 of the Irish get to play, there was still a qualifier to determine who would get to lead the team’s start which Jordan won. As she is the official number one seed, and Notre Dame is at home, she will officially open the tournament playing from the first T (this is being played as a shotgun so everyone starts on a different hole) making the tournament’s opening swing.

We have been a bit busy so we apologize for the lack of blogging so let’s bring you up to date from the last tournament…..Inverness in Toledo is a major tournament venue. As a matter of fact, the Women’s USOPEN will be played there in the summer of 2027. On top of it being a difficult course, it was set up with crazy hard pin placements. How hard was it? The 30 year veteran coach of TCU made the comment to dad that in all of her time as a college coach she has never seen one with this level of complexity. Officially, it carried a rating of 80 meaning a par round of 72 was a -8 differential. The scores proved it out. The winning team (remember, this is the ACC, the very top conference in division one sports) had a combined score of +39 after the three rounds were carded. Absolutely unheard of. Jordan shot +6 in the first round followed up by +3 in the second and +3 again in the third. After the first round she was in 11th place, after the second she was in 14th, and in the end she finished in 19th place, a top 20 finish. She led her team once again but it was not a great finish. She had an incredible start to day 2 (The third round) shooting -2 after 6, being at -1 at the turn. She shot up the leaderboard and was actually in 4th place with 6 holes to play when disaster struck that included a ball in the creek double bogey along with several other bogeys. These things happen and she and coach Carl are working very hard to try to avoid them going forward. Speaking of Carl, he came up to South Bend last week and spent 5 hours sorting through that tournament and tightening up some things.
On Friday night Papa Selwyn and dad came to South Bend to spend the weekend with B and will be her cheering section today. Yesterday Jordan gave Papa a tour of the campus and last night we had dinner with Jordan’s good friend fellow freshman and Volleyball Super Star ChiChi (Princess) and her mother the delightful Ms. Joyce.

Jordan has had some very exciting times these past few weeks including being hired to sign autographs last Friday night at the pre game bash that was attended by boosters and fans. The future golfers lined up for the signature of Notre Dame Women’s Golf top seeded player.

Below are Jordan’s official team photos just released.

Jordan is also really enjoying her job as a brand ambassador (I think that is what it is called but either B or SuperMom will correct me later and I will amend if necessary) for UnderArmor. She fell in love with a new pair of sneakers that they gave her to wear and promoted them on social media

Showing off her new favorite Kicks. Todd, show these to Erik as they will be collectors items one day.

That’s all for now. Thank you for following Jordan’s journey and thank you for all of the texts demanding that these blogs continue. It is humbling for us that people care about our B but we are incredibly grateful for it. Be back later with the news of the day. Signing off from South Bend.
We will leave you with a picture of B and the team mascot who she loves so much, Coach Brea’s pooch.

This is very exciting! You are making important memories.🤞
