ATLANTA, GA. Very tough first round for Jordan at the US Girls Junior Championship. (Click for pics)

Jordan shot an 80 today (+8) in the opening round of what turned out to be her highest score in a while. Everything was just a bit off. She had a double bogey, 7 bogeys, 9 pars and a single đŸ„, the highlight of the day on a par three that was about 2.5 feet short of a hole in one. She had three 3 putts. For the golfers among you, you will realize that with all of that difficulty her game was really not that bad as most would love to be able to shoot 80 with those scratches on your card. Her aim was off a bit as well.

After the round, the team had lunch and regrouped before heading back to the driving range for two hours where Coach Carl with the aid of Cady Uncle David recalibrated everything in preparation for tomorrow. Jordan will have to go low tomorrow to make the cut but she has faced and conquered worse odds and feels confident in her ability to do it again when it matters. T time is at 2:30 off of hole one so she can sleep in a bit, have a nice breakfast and to quote Carl, “Go out and do a piece of work.”

This is how she arrives at the car this morning, breakfast in hand, utensils in mouth, at 7:40

All of the action around Jordan’s first T and announcement

Dwight Globals head of Schools (where Jordan just graduated from) an Atlanta local came out to watch

Shot of the day, Jordan’s T shot on the #10 par three her only đŸ„of the day

That’s all for now. Just another round of golf. Tomorrow is another (really really really hot)day. Thank you for following.
