BELLEVILLE, IL. The woman’s USOPEN will be much less exciting to watch this year as Jordan did not make the cut yesterday. (Click for pics and more).

Just before T off

Jordan got off to a brilliant start yesterday morning going to -2 through the first five holes and briefly taking the lead at her US Open qualifier. Unfortunately it would be short lived as the difficulty of the course and the driving wind got the best of her. She finished right in the middle of the field after a grueling 36 holes over more then ten hours at 33 of the 75. Unfortunately, only the top two would continue on to the open.

From the practice round

Welcome sign

Jordan fought hard, this was just not her day. One of the girls B played with claimed from her Apple Watch that they walked 36,600 steps, just over 16 miles from start to finish. SuperMom and Caddy David were broken after the round trying to keep up with an extremely fit Jordan who took today off from golf. They arrived around 1pm and B simply did her homework and watched Yellowstone before going out to dinner with Aunt Janine and Uncle Shaw who were visiting from Chapel Hill for the week. Tomorrow she will be back to work with Coach Carl to do the last few weeks of work before the summer tour. Jordan’s nest tournament will be at Rio Pinar in Orlando the week of May 17th.

A big big thank you to David Sirkin once again who was on the bag for the qualifier for Jordan yesterday after 3 previous days of warm up to get in synch with Jordan who says that she has never had a better caddy. They were a great team. David previously carried Jordan’s bag 5 years ago during her first summer playing golf.

  1. Jordan I just loved David as your Caddy – how lucky you are to have this Caddy. Sorry your outcome was not what you wanted, when I heard what you were up against I said she gave it all – so just accept it. Not after all you did should your outcome not be what you wanted. Love you no matter what. Enjoy Aunt Janine and Uncle Shaw. Grandma Jerie >

  2. I missed this entry somehow, but sounds like you had some tough challenges. Chin up! If nothing else from this tournament, the photo of you at the practice round is such a great one! Frame it to remember these days!
