First tournament of 2024 for Jordan is a “one and done” 36 hole qualifier into the November Notah Begay III National Championship in Louisiana. During the summer, Jordan made it to the final qualifying round for the 2023 tournament and ended up in second place and the alternate. This is a very tough tournament to qualify for as one has to get through three different qualifying rounds to get there. First a local, then a state, and final a regional to earn a spot. This weekend’s tournament is a direct line in for the top two and is made up of all of the second place finishers from the summer’s final qualifying rounds on the east coast.
The location is Mission Inn, often called “Mission Impossible” by the players. It is in a place in Florida called Howie-in-the-Hills. The Championship course called El Campeón where they play an LPGA Symetra tour event each year is the venue. The course includes a particularly difficult par 5 dogleg hole 17 know as “Devils Delight” that has “more obstacles then some entire courses.” Jordan and Carl played the course in preparation a few weeks back and SuperMom took her again today for a practice round to gather some last minute intel.
T time tomorrow will be at 10am from hole 10. That’s all for now. Thank you for following and we will be back to give you the results of the day tomorrow night. Link to the live leaderboard is below for anyone who wishes to follow:
