The field is 111 players in total, 69 boys and 42 girls ages 19 and under who have not entered their first year of college and have amateur status. It is 36 holes to be played over 2 days, tomorrow and Wednesday. The players come from 24 different states as well as Bulgaria, China, Hong Kong, Mexico, and Thailand.
Playing on a short two days rest B will take the T box at 9:10 tomorrow morning. Coach Jerry Yochum was by Jordan’s side for the practice round today helping her to analyze the greens and strategize each hole. Jerry is always there when B needs him and she is extremely grateful.
SuperMom was at the wheel once again today while B got every last minute of rest both to and from the golf course. She left this morning juggling her coffee along with a pillow and blanket for Jordan as they raced out of the house to make the practice time. Her dedication to Jordan’s journey both on and off the course is immeasurable. She has again this summer driven thousands of miles, washed hundreds of loads of laundry, researched and mapped out the tour schedule, made PBJ sandwiches, coordinated outfits (Jordan is often called the most fashionable player on the tour) polished shoes, triple checked equipment, snapped countless photos for this blog, and last Thursday actually gave B the shirt off her back when the weather forced a clothing change. And, she does it without complaint and makes it look easy. We stand in awe.
