On Day 2 of The IMG Junior World Golf Championship Jordan shoots 75 and is in a 5 way tie for 70th place out of 160. She is only 3 strokes from making the cut. (Click for more)

The pin placement for yesterday got even more complex then the first day. According to coach Jerry, it was playing about 3 strokes harder then the day before. Jordan came out charging parring 1 with a 15 foot 1 putt. Hole 2, a 🐥 with another long 14 foot 1 putt. Hole 3 lipped out what would have been a second birdie from 11 feet but still a par.

Hole 4 was where most of the days excitement and peril would come. Jordan clipped a tree on her drive landing the ball in dirt and sand on the side of the course. She came out beautifully and it looked like the ball was going to land within a few feet of the flag…but it lost flight a foot early and plugged into the side of the bunker. It took one shot to dislodge it as there was a lip overhanging where the ball was stuck, then the 4th shot to get it on the green, then a 2 putt for double bogey. This was B’s only double of the tournament so far.

Hole 5 was a par, then 6&7 both bogeys (the only back to back bogeys so far). 8 was a 🐥, and 9 a bogey thus finishing the front at +3. Jordan kept it together on the back with 2 bogeys and 2 🐥’s to finish the side at even. Overall, a great round. Jordan’s putting was great yesterday.

Today is going to be a nail biter as this incredibly talented field is so tightly packed. Just 3 strokes separates Jordan in 70th place from 40th place and the cut to make tomorrow’s final round. This tournament is far from over and the B truly has no fear.

No matter how today ends, Jordan can be extremely proud of her play here in Torrey. In less then two years of tournament play she has proven that she can take on the world’s best and keep up. This tournament is 15-18 year olds. Jordan is 15.
