For the very first time in her young career Jordan will go into day 2 of a tournament in 1st place. Round started out a little rocky with bogeys on 1 & 4 but she was determined to keep it together and got better as the day went on. She would 🐥5 and bogey 9 to finish the front at +2. The back was even better. B was -2 through 17 on the back (even overall for the day) with two birdies. and was even for the round before she bogeyed 18, much to her annoyance but finished the side 2 under par. 18 at Bethpage is a constant thorn in Jordan’s side. She has doubled it and tripled it, but never parred it.

Leaderboard after day one.

Overall, for the day, Jordan had 4 bogeys, 11 pars, and 3🐥’s. She had no doubles or worse, and did not have a single 3 putt. As this is being written, the media department has just been informed that she will stop on the way home at Rockrimmon to practice her putting stroke. That will probably be the case again in the morning before heading out to Bethpage.
Tomorrow her dad will see her play for the first time in well over a month in competition. We will update you with the final results tomorrow night.
Thats all for now. Thank you for the calls, texts emails, comments. Love hearing from everyone. We will leave you with a few photos and videos mom was able to sneak in today on the putting green before the round.

That’s so wonderful. She’s always #1 in my book, but so happy to hear today’s results!
Good luck tomorrow!!
