Jordan started this morning in a four way tie for 7th place going into day 2 of this extremely competitive tournament. First hole was again a shaky start for the B carding a bogey to immediately go to plus 1. Little did her mother who was watching her know, Jordan would never go above that the entire round and would actually be -1 after 15 with three holes to go.
After the bogey on one, Jordan would par 2, birdie 3, par 4, bogey 5, par 6, birdie 7, par 8, and bogey 9 for plus 1 on the front. 10 was a par as was 11. 12 was a bird, bringing her back to even. Both 13 & 14 were pars, and then 15 was a bird bringing her to -1. 16 was a bogey bringing her back to even. 17 would prove to be her worst hole of the day. It was a par 3 and her foot slipped slightly just before impact opening the face of the club and sending the ball into the rough on the far right of the pin. The second shot flew as far badly in the opposite direction but onto the green about as far from the pin as possible. She would then three putt for a double, her first and only one of the day and would put her at plus two taking the possibility of shooting under par today out of her reach. She finished the day super strong with another 🐥, her 5th one of the round. For the record, this was also the most birdies that B has ever shot in a single round. All of Jordan’s trouble today was on the par 3’s. She had two bogeys and a double bogey. Incidentally, that would have been the difference between her 3rd place finish for the tournament and her tying for first and forcing the match into sudden death. This writer does not know what this means for practice, but I have no doubt Jordan’s coaches do and that this will be the focus for her practice this week.

On the schedule this week is the Golf Illustrated Trophy Tournament on Thursday hosted by the Woman’s Metropolitan Golf Association. This is an invitational and a team event that Jordan was chosen to be a part of. We don’t know a lot about it, but we are told it is an honor to be selected by the team captain and coach Jerry thought that it was a good idea for her to play it. We will report on it come Thursday as we witness it. Mom will take her and promises to give us all the story. This will also be Jordan’s very first team event.
Warm up today.

Well, that’s all for now. Very exciting ”Moving Up Day” (Thank you Allen). We are grateful for all of the interest.
Great job Jordan! Continued success!
