The field though small for this tournament is quite talented. There is a 3 way tie for first place after the first round at -1, a two way tie for 4th at even, solo 6th place at +1, a two way tie for 7th at plus 3, then Jordan’s three way tie for 9th place at plus 4. Only 5 strokes separate B from the leader with another 18 holes still to play. Amongst the field are two players from Iceland who are both on the National Team, one of whom won the European Jr. Championship this year.
Jordan’s round started with bogeys on holes one and two and then she settled in and got to work. She would only card three more bogeys throughout the next 16 holes, and sunk a birdie on #5. On two par 5’s she was almost on the green in two, both times chipping for eagle, both rolled over the hole, neither unfortunately would fall. Jordan missed 4 short birdie putts and had 12 pars. She was a plus 1 for the the final 11 holes. Overall a very solid effort (though she of course feels she could have done better.
The entire Zheng family, including Sarah’s brother Matthew followed Jordan for the front 9 today. A big thank you from all of us for their friendship and dedication to Jordan’s mission. Dan continues to earn his $1 yearly salary as B’s manager and her entire photographic staff. Below you will see his handiwork from today.
Tomorrow’s T time will be 9:52 and Julie will again run the cheering section. There will be a live leaderboard for those interested in following.

That is all we got. We can’t say it enough….Thanks everyone for the support and the interest!
