Jordan charges up the leaderboard from 37th place to finish tied for 15th in what was touted as the worlds largest Junior Golf tournament. (Click for details)

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour once a year invites those that have had a top five finish in one of their tournaments down to Orlando for their National Championship Weekend. 115 girls were slated to come from Alabama, Florida, Ohio, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Washington, Texas, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Kentucky, Colorado, Georgia, South Carolina, Indiana, Michigan, Connecticut, Kansas City, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, New Jersey, & New York (thats 24 states if you are counting) as well as the countries of Canada, Norway, Japan, and The Republic of Korea came to play ranging in age from 14-18. One Hundred and one finally began and B would best 86 of them. As our very good friend Allen likes to tell Jordan, “Today was moving up day.”

Jordan came out of the gate charging today paring the first four holes. (She started at hole 7 if you are looking at the score card in confusion). Hole number 11 (her fifth hole) would be her first bogey of the day as her second shot was slightly short of the green. She would make a great chip on within 4 feet but miss the par putt. Hole 12, a par three she was on the green thirty feet away and made the 2 putt for par. Hole 13 (B’s 7th hole) would be Jordan’s first birdie of the day with a 6 foot putt. The next two holes, 14 & 15 would be pars making her even after the first 9. Jordan bogeyed 16, then would par 17 and go on to birdie 18 bringing her back to even with 6 holes left to play. At this point in the tournament, Jordan was in 8th place. She parred number 1, bringing her briefly into 5th place, her best standing in the tournament. Then came hole number 2, a par 5. Drive was great. 2nd shot would fade to the right behind the trees and this is where the trouble would start, only 40 yards from the green. B would leave three in the sand to end with a triple bogey putting her three over for the day. Jordan would have a great recovery after that carding a birdie on number 3, her third 🐥 of the day. She was then at +2 for the day in 9th place. Holes 4 & 5 would both be bogeys and 6, the last hole a par. Jordan would end the day with the triple, 4 bogeys, 10 pars, & 3 birdies. She was on the green in regulation 14 times. Overall, a great effort and a great finish landing her in 15th place when all was said and done.

The chaos at the driving range when you are trying to start 100 people at once.

Jordan’s next tournament will be December 18-19th in Winter Garden Florida where she will compete in The Holiday Classic at Orange County National, another Hurricane Junior Golf Tour event.

Finally, great shots that Coach Carl took this morning of Caddie mom Julie and the B. Thanks Carl for all of the hole by hole commentary and the pictures.

In closing, a very exciting weekend at a great tournament. Again, we are so grateful for the amazing support, funny and insightful comments and texts, love and support from all. The Honda Jr. Classic is only one month away.

  3. Congratulations Jordan. It’s a tough battle to the top, but you continue to move forward and to grow. Coming back with a birdie after the sand incident is what a winner is all about.
