Day 3 for B of the Winter slog was all about compression. This is when you actually compress the golf ball between the club and the ground and it compresses then explodes as it rolls up the front of the club head and climbs into the sky. If you have ever watched a professional golfer hit the ball you will notice that it will actually jump and accelerate during its upward trajectory. Not an easy thing to master, but if you can, it makes your game that much more powerful. It requires the player to hit down on the ball (which is how the golf clubs are actually made to be hit) rather then to “Scoop” the ball as most recreational golfers do. Much more technical then most care about, but it gives context to the videos from today. (Click for videos).
