Very solid first day in the Ladies Club Championship at Rockrimmon. (Click for details)

Jordan took a commanding lead today in the first 18 holes of the 36 hole tournament. Of the 18 holes, Jordan won 13, tied 3, and lost 2. This means that she is up by 11 holes going into the final day. As for total number of strokes (not that it counts for anything as this was match play but a few have asked) B shot a 75. The second half was supposed to be tomorrow but due to the pending hurricane that is due to hit New England beginning tomorrow has been postponed until next Saturday, the 28th at 12pm.

Jordan’s opponent put up a valiant effort but was overwhelmed by Jordan’s accuracy and consistency. She is a a true competitor and she has earned our respect with both her play and her attitude this afternoon. She has won the Ladies club championship many times and is not someone to be taken lightly.

Jordan heads to Chicago on Monday (originally supposed to be tomorrow but flight was canceled) for some work with Carl Rabito her swing coach. We will blog from there.
